I viisted my sister on Saturday. We had a cup of coffee and while we were chatting I asked her if her rue plants had any seeds left on them. I told her I wanted to start some new plants. Mine are woody. She said go look.

I gathered some seeds and found this guy. A black swallowtail cat. He is a little late. We usually have below freezing temps by now.

I had one of these spin its cocoon and attach itself to an elephant ear in the greenhouse. Well that was approx 6 weeks ago and I was wondering how long it was going to be hanging around there..... looks like maybe all winter now.

That is very cool, both of you guys. I never get to see those kind of things. I suppose it's because I am not tuned in to it.
