I got these lantanas this spring and planted them in the garden. I love pink and yellow and my husband's grandmothers name is Mozelle.

I bought nine and they are all huge. I hope they will winter over in my stormhouse.

My hubby says next year we need to plant them on the outside rows only as they are impossible to get around.

    This buckeye butterfly certainly approves.

Oh wow! What a great photo of the butterfly! And I didn't know each lantana had a name.

Sharon and I recently transplanted our Lantana we had no problem with it overwintering. Yours are gorgeous, great picture of the butterfly.

I love Lantana, the fragrance (or smell as Randy calls it) reminds me of the house we lived in when I started school. I have two spreading yellows and a tall bush pink/yellow/orange combo.

We don't usually get the cold winter weather you do but mine overwinter in the ground and come back with a vengence every spring. So overwintering in a protected area should not be a problem.

And I think Lantana smells like cat pee. I stay far away from it. Good thing it looks pretty or it would not be in my garden.

Bethie that first photograph is really fantastic!!! I've never tried growing Lantana but after seeing your photographs I may give it a try next year as it certainly seems to attract butterflies. :-D

Butterflies love it. I have a "Dallas Red" and they flock to it. The two we just planted are orange and yellow. I love your pink and yellow Bethie.

I had to snicker at Pondlady's description "cat pee" because my co-worker has a flower arrangement on her desk full of baby's breath and it smells just like "cat pee" too! The Lantana's are gorgeous. I tried growing some a few years ago but didn't have much luck. I think it's because I had them in too small of pots :-?

I also think that angelonia smells like cat pee. And it's always me who steps on the carrion mushrooms in the garden.

The first photo is great. Myhusband kept a lantana in our Michigan garage last winter. I was sure it wouldn't survive but it did and was beautiful most of the summer.
