I am just starting a new lasagna bed.

I am getting "pulled" produce from a local grocery store. Can I just put it in as a layer and cover with leaves, or do I need to actually compost it in the bin first?

    Thanks, Frank!

I,m guessing that "produce trimmings" is listed in the first post that I CAN use them as a layer.
