Last night I watched Predator II after a couple of pints so I was in highly critical and observant mode :)

Terrible movie I must say. The first one was much better.

    1.5 out of 5

Although a few nights previous I watched The Graduate. Always a pleasure, one of my favourites. The cinematography and soundtrack are just superb.

    4.5 out of 5

What was the last movie you have seen?

I have quite eclectic tastes actually.

I enjoyed the film "Gorillas in the mist" but admit the romantic scenes spoilt the true story a bit for me as they never actually happened to DF. :(

I thoroughly enjoy Walt Disney's cartoon and animal films too. Saw "The two brothers" with my daughter recently and quite enjoyed it although the story line was pretty weak - the tigers made up for it though. Loved "The Lion King" , "The Jungle Book" and "Brother Bear." Just a big kid at heart sometimes!! :D

Also been known to enjoy films like "The Green Mile" and "Silence of the lambs."

Not so keen or romantic movies with lots of bedroom scenes - they just leave me a bit cold for some reason, maybe just too many of them around. :? Abhore sporty films too I'm afraid.

What other kinds of films do you enjoy watching?

I find myself to have a varied taste as well. I like Midnight Cowboy, North By Northwest, Trainspotting, Tigerland and Lost In Translation a lot.

I can't stand soppy stuff like Sleepless In Seattle or similar and I also hate macho-macho stuff like Fast And The Furious. Also movies glorifying war.

One movie I saw recently as well that suprised me a lot was National Treasure starring Nicholas Cage. It was a Disney movie but it was quite good popcorn entertainment. Check it out.

    Will do!! Thanks.

Agree with you about the 'glorifying' war movies - can't stand them either.

One of the movies I mentioned earlier, Tigerland, is actually a war movie but I love it because it is a different kind of war movie and does not glorify it at all. Check that one out as well :)

Sounds more to Ian's taste but I enjoyed 'Schindler's List' even although it was about war so I'll give it a try. :D

I like Schindler's List as well but you really have to be in a certain mood to watch it. Pet hates are Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan :x

Haven't seen Black Hawk Down and I HATED private Ryan!!

Ian took me to see "Where Eagle's Dare" when we were younger and I thought I was going to see a real life film about actual eagles - how dumb is THAT??
BTW I didn't enjoy it at all.

Oh dear - it must be a man thing as Ian loves it too!!! Sorry to say it's just not my cup of tea.

I enjoyed watching ET when the children were little and The Navigator - have you seen either of them?
