I noticed this little beauty this morning. I wonder if it will be the last one to open this year. It's a lovely climber called 'Schoolgirl'

Thanks for the comments everyone. The only thing with this rose is that the blooms do not last very long. They open very quickly and within a few days they are over.

Oh yes Biita - mango sorbet - my favourite!!! Well almost anything reminds me of mango sorbet to be honest. It's certainly a beautiful rose Gardengirl and to have it blooming at this time of year is wonderful.

That is a very beautiful rose. I can imagine smelling it.
You know the Turks say that the last rose is the best...and they sometimes name their daughters this: "Songül".--"Gül" meaning rose and is the name of one of our two cats. Her sister is named "Roos"--which is dutch for rose. The double 'o' is pronounced like a "long o" in english.

I don't know why I wrote all that, I sort of got side tracked, I guess...anyway. That rose is s supurb speciman.

Thank you Sjoerd and I'm pleased you 'wrote all that' it's good to hear of customs from other parts of the world.

    How pretty!
I have a few buds on my Roses. I just hope they get to bloom before it gets too cold.
