I'm learning more about taking pictures with our camera so today I took said camera outside and tried pictures using the optical zoom combined with the digital zoom to take some macro shots. I took about a dozen pictures and only saved a few. I learned that the book was right when it said you needed a tripod to keep the camera from shaking while you were focusing the picture. Some of the pictures were so blurry that you couldn't tell what they were pictures of. But, I kept a few for future reference.

I'll try again on Sunday using the tripod. It was too late this afternoon as the sun is too bright in the yard. dooley

I'd say you are off to a great start Dooley! I can't wait to see how they come out with a tripod!

You're definately getting the hang of macro photography Dooley. Your piccies are really great. I think you need to take lots more though to let us see - just for practice you understand!! ;)

Dooley, it looks like you have mastered it. Me... ha... still struggling along. But last night Glenda and I were talking and have realized why I am having so much trouble. Another friend gave me instructions as well as Glenda. So somehow I was merging them or something, but it wasn't working for me. Any hoo, we will have another class this weekend maybe. Your photos are beautiful. So crisp, they look professional. But what really gets me is 'The Fly'. Reminds me of the old black and white movie called 'The Fly'. You did a great job!!! ;) ;) ;)

Great shots. I have a new camera and am still trying to figure it all out. I can't see to get close ups. They always blur.

Keep up the practice. Lots and lots of practice.
