Our sandpipers are very similar to the bird in your photograph. Are you on a winter migration path by any chance?
This is my first sighting of this bird. We do get a lot of ducks coming here for the winter, pintails, wigeon, golden eye, buffleheads and also scaups, merganser, wood ducks and many others. Does keep me busy through the winter with the cameras.
