The ultra-simple recipe for the leek and potato casserole.
I have to say that using my own veg really improved the "feeling" of this dish.

1-- Boil the leeks and potato slices separately...cube some ham or fry-up some ground beef or chicken bits

2--Make a sauce from a package of stroganoff and a package of cheese sauce.

3--Layer potatos, leeks, sauce and ham cubes (or fried hamburger meat)...salt and pepper to taste in a greased baking dish

4--Bake for 30 mins, sprinkle with grated cheese of your choice and bake another 10 minutes

    Bon Appétit

Many thanks for the recipe Sjoerd. I'll give it a try the next time I get some leeks in. :-D

Do you mix the two sauces together? Do not have leeks but I bet it would be almost as good with caramelized onions.

Yes, I mix the sauces together. Onions, broccoli, Swiss chard, or maybe even cauliflower. I suspect that it would all be good.
