Well.. .actually it started a couple of weeks ago, but there weren't any deals.
So I stop at the grocery store on the way home and they are having their usual 3 for $10 sale!
Not a whole lot of variety, maybe 10-12 different types. But always something good and they are all grown in Texas.
I brought home 2 Angel Trumpets, 2 Cigar Plants, 2 Bottle Brush, 2 Spirea, 1 White Plumbago, 1 Azalea Fashion, 1 Formosa purple and 1 Formosa Rays Ruby.

I'll keep one of the Angel Trumpets, the Azalea and the White Plumbago. The rest will be for the church's plant sale in August. At those prices, I can triple or quadruple the investment.
They also had small olive trees, had to get one of those for my sis-in-law (even though it wasn't one of the specials). And now my co-worker wants 3 of the Cigar Plants. :stew2:

I've already done my plant shopping. I bought about 100 sedums and semps to start my collection, 4 rose bushes,13 red wiggle sedums, and I still have 3 orders that I haven't received yet.your collection looks good. Great price too.

Cheryl, great buys, and was the puppy on sale, too? I bought a start of chives and six CalWonder pepper plants today at the local hardware store.
We are still waiting for the big vegetable gardens to dry out enough to plant. My tomato starts are getting bigger and bigger, and I need to get them in the ground soonest.

Wow, what a great price! Being new in my area I still haven't found an affordable place for perennials. Every spring my Hubby takes me shopping for plants for my birthday but I still have another month to wait. Good luck with your new plants! What color angel trumpets did you get?

Ginny... I have no idea what color they are. The only details on the tags were their names and the grower information. If they survive, I'll definitely post photos of them.
