I got this old tub for helping a friend's mom move a few years ago. Kept a variety of plants in it, but now... it's my Lil' Strawberry Patch!

And if you look closely... there's 2 berries that will probably get eaten this afternoon or in the morning!

What a good looking strawberry patch.

I still don't have any ready to eat, wouldn't be surprised to find one of the birds happily munching on them when my back is turned.

A perfect little strawberry patch Cheryl. I hope those berries taste as good as they look.

This looks like a 5 star location for a strawberry patch. You will probably get 5 star strawberries. Hopefully no 5 star birds.

Oh yeah... I'd better go out there and pick that berry before the birds do. Be right back.... :)

I forgot to mention yesterday that the small strawberry pot in the large tub is such a cute idea.

Thanks Toni. We found that little pot in the "trash pile" back in the pasture a couple of years ago. The bottom was busted out, so I just placed it on top of another planter. Got a couple of berries out of it. And now that it's sitting on that tub, maybe it'll produce better. If not, like you said, still cute.
And oh yeah... I ate that berry. YUMMY! :-D

You are giving me the impulse to get out into the cold wet and pot up some stray strawberry runners. Do I or don't I?
