I bought a package of mixed Asiatic Lilies last month that have been growing like weeds, so far these are the first blooms but there are a couple of dozen more getting ready.

And this Sunflower was planted by either a squirrel or bird from the birdfeeder. It's about 3feet tall and growing in a pot out back.

Lovely lilies and sunflower too. :D Our sunflowers are just tiny, little things with two baby leaves.

I have never planted Asiatic Lilies before, didn't know if they were fragrant or not.....so I stuck my face in one to smell. Not fragrant but it was very willing to share it's orange pollen with my nose, upper lip and cheek.

:D Yep, the lilies are very generous that way. I usually wander about with an orange nose when the orientals bloom. They've got a heavenly scent.

Glad you all enjoyed the blooms. I have never had Asiatic lilies before and didn't realize that they were such a sturdy feeling flower, really thick and intense orange.

I think there are some white ones that will be opening soon but can't tell yet what color the others will be.
But I will take pictures when they bloom.
