    Lisianthus Blooming ( photo / image / picture from aythya-camellia's Garden )

This is the Lisianthus in my garden this year. I don't know what cultivar it is, but I'd like to find out, so I can purchase it again. Can anyone help?

Oh, yes, there's a slight chance you know it as Eustoma.

    Eustoma grandiflorum
aka Prairie Gentian and Texas Bluebells

There appears to be three white versions.
Lisianthus Lizzy White, Lisianthus Mermaid White and Lisianthus Lisa White

They look pretty similar in the only photos I have found online, so that doesn't really help with a positive ID.

It was labeled 'Echo' something or other in the garden store. Have you heard of any cultivars called something like that?

I don't think it's a double variety, no; they must have mislabeled it in the store. Although one picture I found online of white 'Echo' looked somewhat similar to mine.

Yes, they can be quite irritating. My mandevilla plant was labeled 'Red Velvet' and when it flowered, it was pink! Anyway, I think it's probably a white one of the varieties you mentioned; there aren't enough pictures of 'Echo' that really resemble mine to justify calling it 'Echo.'
