I have a Grandson on the way, due to arrive in April. I just finished this little quilt for him. My daughter, Sarah has been having fun getting William's room prepared. The colors are a far cry from baby blue! The walls are navy, trim is white. Curtains are white with black stripes, carpet light gray, and the big comfy rocker recliner is a subtle gray tweed. The dresser is painted a brick red. Crib has not arrived yet. The colors Sarah and I chose for this little quilt are navy, black, white, red and yellow. The backing is a geometric black and white. William's quilt is lovely, and his room will be, also. Babies respond to bright colors more than to the pastel shades (so I've read, having no experience myself) and the stimulation leads to better brain development. Of course, William will be brilliant--look at the gene pool he is coming from!
