Why am I having to log in every time I access the site. It was opening up to "Kuntrygal". Once the opening page was changed and updated, I have to sign in! That's a pain Is it going to remain that way :?:
Hmmm, that's not happening to me. :-? Sounds like it might be time to clear your cookies? That worked wonders for me when I started to have similar problems.
When you login have you ever checked the box that says "Sign me in automatically each visit" ? If you did not then you will have to sign in each time. It could also have something to do with your computer not accepting cookies (necessary to automatically sign in on a list or forum you have joined) just because it is finicky at that time.
Yes it could be a cookies problem KG. Have a look here http://www.google.com/cookies.html I have to rush out now so I'm sorry I can't go more in-depth right now. If you still haven't got it working by the time I come back I will look into further and deeper // Frank
I'll try clearing cookies. I think my PC needs a good cleaning 'out'. The young man that has worked on it in the past is suppose to come tomorrow afternoon and work on it and figure out why I can't upload pics from my camera to my PC. I ge so disgusted when things don't work right. Yes, I do check the box to remember me!
Well low and behold... I 'ate' my cookies all gone and it seems to be working OK now. Thanks guys and gals
I've checked the "Log in.."-box lots of times, but still has to log in every time. I clear cookies every week.
What browser are you using Droopy? Just a side note about cookies, clearing them wouldn't necessarily be the solution if there was a cookie problem. The majority of the cookie issues arise when they are not enabled in your browser, hence the link I posted above.
Excuse the silly question Droopy but I need to get it out of the way: are you signing out every time you leave the site? Also what do your Firefox settings show here: In the menu go to Tools -> Options -> Privacy tab -> Cookies Thanks.
No, I just leave. The tools-thingy I can't find. I'm installing an update soon, it might fix the Stew-problem. (Or else!)
Droopy, the Tools-thingy is at the top of your screen right under the blue Mozilla Firefox border and just above the green cross you click on to open a new tab. File Edit View Go Bookmarks Tools Help
Hey, the Stew kicked me out while I was answering. I really need to get this machine serviced. That tool-thingy I use almost every day, toni. I do belive I get partly insane around the childrens' bed time. Or else I'm no good when it comes to thinking in English. That tab told me that Mozilla remember all pages from the last 20 days and everything looks normal.
That's definitely strange behaviour Droopy. From this end it seems to be working fine (I say this partly because if it wasn't there would be a lot more threads asking what's going on). It could however also be your ISP that is at fault. If your ISP changes the number (technical term: IP address) of your computer on the network periodically this may cause the Stew to not recognise your computer. I know of it happening with AOL users in the US.
