Moved here a couple of months ago. These are spread about what the previous owner planted... roses, bleeding hearts (turks cap), lily of the nile, four o'clocks & begonias.
Tiger lillies I believe, different heights. Some are tall and a few types are shorter, Beautiful flowers, seeds will be along the stem at the base of the leaves.
If they're tiger lillies then I'll be planting some mexican petunias! Either way, I'm happy with whatever it is.
My mexican petunias although similar leaf shape did not grow that tall and were more clustered. Might be either one though. Wait till they bloom and see, I guess. I have been trying to get tiger lillies to grow here for a while. Guess they don`t like the country. Daughter lived in town and hers were beautiful.
There is a Dwarf Mexican Petunia, it grow about 12" tall and wide. I planted two a couple of years ago and notice two more have come up this year.
That may have been what I had. They were pretty though. I haven`t had too much time for flowers this year.
Thanks for the answer, nice to know what it is. Don't give up Mart, tigers might pop up somewhere around here!
I have grown this plant in my pond. They are not fussy at all, and can grow in all kinds of conditions.
