Common sense tells me this is some kind of fern. But, good old WalMart doesn't use name tags on anything :-x I know it doesn't look too hot right now. I thought I'd try to save this poor little thing. If it doesn't make it at least I got a cute pot!

I'm sure this is a leftover valentine thing since I found it on the clearance rack :-?
They also had columbines for sale in the little sacks right there with the peonies and iris. I've never seen columbines like that, has anyone else?? Maybe I've been living under a rock!

Nah, to me looks more like a kind of fern? Can't explain well...have seen this around. This is not a succulent in my opinion.

I googled a bit for "broad leaf fern" and Asplenium looks a lot like this.
Can't help you more, have never had this plant. It's just a hunch.

Hi, definitely not a cactus, there are rhisomes coming over the edge of the pot.
It is a hares foot of some type, hares foot because of the little roots crawling everywhere that look like furry feet.
Some of that type are called possumtail ferns.....caterpillar ferns.
It looks like a scyphularia pycnocarpa,
what does anyone else think about those comparisons?
I am growing several hares foot type ferns.

This one of my nicest ones, the little furry feet are coming over the edge of the pot.

Deanna, The leaves are glossy because someone sprayed them with leaf shine . I think I would put it in the sink and spray it with a mild soap and try to wash it off with the shower or sink sprayer. I don't think that stuff is good for a fern. It is a fern, too. It will need high humidity and a decent amount of light. I have one in my greenhouse under the front bench where it gets fairly bright light. Can you put it in the bathroom or near a humidifier? it should do much better. Or sit it in a tub/tray with water in the bottom and let water evaporate from underneath the plant to keep some humidity around it.

That little rabbit holds a ball of string that comes out of his mouth and his glasses are actually scissors!
I found him at a junk store a long time ago and thought he was the cutest darn thing! :D
