Look at this...ant?

    Well, what I first thought was an ant. It looks more like an assassin bug. I have not been able to ID it and any help would be great.

    I Googled it and I could only find the "milkweed assassin bug".

    Could that be it?

    Maybe a.... Repipta taurus nymph-(Red Bull Assassin Bug nymph)

    Yikes! It looks like something out of a Cootie Bug game. I love the color contrast. :stew1:

    I think you are correct DeepWoods. Thanks for the ID.

    Wartrop, that was very close, the two assassin bugs do look very similar though.

    You should send your bugs to BugGuide, I have over 600 images sent there.BugGuide Its Iowa Univ. the top bug people in north America help with the ID etc. Free and its not a forum, no chit chat etc. Just submit your image North American only though.
