This morning I come downstairs and look out the window and what do I see, snow...earlier this week, I had temp's in the 60's. Here are a few pictures... When will it stop...
lol,, we had that too NYG, just a dusting like that, but thankfully it all melted plus more melted today with it. I hope it goes away for you.
Our snow seems to have left us (for the time being)but we now have hail instead. I don't think winter wants to leave us quite yet somehow.
We had the same thing last weekend. Had been gorgeous all week and even Saturday was bright and warm, then we woke up Sunday morning to several inches of snow! YUCK! I am longing for the warm.
My heart goes out to you NYG, I'm in Southern Maine and I was thinking myself that winter was never going to end. Fortunately for me we haven't been hit in a while, knock on wood. Hang in there...I got my first bloom this past week. Yours is coming.
Winter You know, I don't think there's enough money on this earth to make me live somewhere, where it snows regularly. I hate the stuff, because it's wet & cold - two of my least-favorite things. I see the usefulness of it, bringing water to the earth and insulating from the frigid air and providing drinking water for the Summer. But I don't want to live in it! I feel for y'all up North, but I know, our hot Summers (not humid in West Texas) are something y'all may wish to avoid. I should've taken a picture of the huge sandstorm we had last week. It was nasty! The dust storms alone keep lots of folks out of this area.
I hate snow too.I will probably someday have to live in Montana but I wont like it.I do live in the hot humid part of Texas but its not snow all time.
I'm not fond of snow either. The little we get here is more than enough for me. We moved from Wisconsin and I shoveled more than my share in this lifetime. It's someone else's turn. I only like snow in pictures now. dooley
It's pretty, even though it's cold. I miss the snow in snowless winters, but come April I'd rather be without it. We will probably get more snow here, but it won't last.
Hi Newyorkgardener. I'm originally from Warsaw, N.Y. Remember those days well. I'm now in Virginia and I woke up to the same thing this morning. YUCK. Donna
Snow is definitely a four letter word around here. Now we are suppose to get a few inches over the next 2 days. :'( AS my Mom would say; This to shall pass. But not quickly enough for me. I have been looking over the garden catalogs and dreaming.
