Look what I found under the snow

    Look what I found growing under the snow. The snow is gone, and where there was snow there now is a flower. It is worth the wait.

    They are Crocus,Ligusticus, I believe.

    Nope, that's not a crocus. They look like Chionodoxa or scilla.

    You may well be correct, as I based my claim on this photo from Wikipedia. Unfortunately the name didn't come along when I copied the Photo.

    Isn't it wonderful to see the first flower of spring? I got spoiled living in Arizona and now Texas. Some seem to stay around all year. But, I lived many, many years in Wisconsin and remember waiting for the snow to leave. Beautiful flower. dooley

    Well I guess that I won't dispute your knowledge of flowers, as a little further research shows this:

    Identified as Chionodoxa Forbesii.

    Great surprise Calomaar! I know them as "Glory of the Snow" and they usually are the first bloom as soon as the snow melts.

    What dainty little blue flowers. It must have been a real pleasure to spot them after all that snow you've been having.

    Wow ..........I can see you smile clear out here.

    Nice to see the beautiful flowers in the yard.

    Blue is something I dont have much of..
