Our summer is well under way here, up north there are cyclone warnings and down this way we are having lovely warm days and tropical rains, so that means the garden is smiling.I have a selection of cactus which at times I think they are a waste of time, they just sit there staring around and then all of a sudden they pop out! So I reconsider my thinking and allow them to stay on.

Ahhh Chocolate while we're enduring our winter and a garden lacking all colour it's so good to see your photographs. Your cacti are so lovely. :D

Cacti really are dramatic bloomers indeed. I know what you mean about them just sitting around doing notyhing a lot of the time. I am not a big fan of cacti (which is just as well, çause i wouldn't be able to grow them outside), but I DO lurve to see those blooms. They are smashing!

Yours are no exception. I am so delighted that you took the time to photograph and show them, Choccie.

I will look back over your pics a couple of times. They are so bright and cheerful when our weather here is so gray and rainy at the moment.

    Cheers.

I have one little cactus that put on one little tiny bloom... could barely even tell it was there.
    But with your's! Wow!
Those are really pretty... I'd keep them too!
And I can't wait until my Cereus gets big enough to bloom... they are so unique!

Great flower pics, I like the flowering rat tail as I am partial to plants with long thorns much to the consternation of my wife who refuses to get near them.
