    .... at what is bursting into flower today!!!! :D My very first bearded iris!!! I couldn't wait until it opened properly to take it's piccie to let you all see. :oops:

    Oh Eileen that's lovely!!! I can't wait to see it fully opened!! I really like irises, ours have all bloomed and looong gone!! It nice to have yours to share!!! Thanks for posting your pic!!

    I like that color. When it's open is the center darker. Are most iris's two colored? No, I think those blue ones were all the same color. Well, it's going to be beautiful when it's all open. Mine are all gone. I finally cleaned them out last week. Dooley

    Dooley I think the centre is going to be orange. :D It'll probable be fully opened bytomorrow so I'll post another pic for you.

    I have flag iris in the pond and 'ordinary' iris in the garden but this is the very first bearded Iris I've ever had. :smt026

    Looking forward to the mighty unveiling Eileen. It just missed out on the 6/6/06 you can rule out it being the devil's bearded iris :D

    Well it was opening nicely.....

    ..................until a baby woodpigeon cannoned into it!! :'( At least there are three more buds about ready to burst into flower so fingers crossed!!
