Have a few flowers from AZ that need to know who they are, I would like to know also. If you can help, click ARIZONA. Any help would be great.
C is mistletoe; E is silverleaf mightshade; and F is dayflower (spiderwort family). Someone else with more knowledge may identify them differently, and will probably be right!
Thank you both, that's a couple done. Hi marlingardener I think it is N instead of M. I checked it out with google, did you also mean F not E. A good help, thank you. moderator's note: removed double posting see point 3.6 of usage rules
A - looks like Mexican Petunia, tall variety C - Mistletoe D - Oenothera caespitosa G - Penstemon of some variety H - an Aloe J - Penstemon cobaea K - possibly a Mahonia aquifolium P - Bougainvillea O - Possibly a Cape Aloe S - one of the sensitive briars - of the Mimosa Species X - looks like a Staghorn Cholla This website will probably give you the ID of the rest, I just ran out of time to look thru any more of my books. http://www.delange.org/ArizWFlowers/Wf.htm
Kildale, yes, it is Nightshade, not with an M (my fingers got ahead of my mind). It is the violet flower with the golden center.
Thank you Toni for taking the tme to help me out. Looks great, will enjoy adding the names and then putting them in my web site. cherylad. thank you for the help. Thanks marlingardener, I knew what you meant, it was a great help and got me started. moderator's note: removed double posting see point 3.6 of usage rules
Many of the Arizona wildflowers are also Texas natives so I was able to find them in my books. My grandsons were coming over for the evening so I ran out of time, hope you are able to get the rest of the ID'ed
The way the stems and leaves (what I can see) of W look, it reminds me of a Buddleia, though Im not sure about the flowers.
I jumped on at lunch... and I have to tell you ALL I'm in awe of your knowledge! Of course this is from a woman that has until recently been unsure that dandelions are weeds, but still.
