I read that in Droopy's post here and I couldn't help but laugh. I know it's been used many times before by other members but when you take it out of context of GardenStew it reads very funny It could mean "cooking a big ole stew together" or "being cooked in a big ole cauldron", perhaps as part of some sacrificial ritual! Have you ever used it in real life?
No! But I've used it plenty of times on here. I've always thought of us Stewbies as a bunch of different flavours all chucked into the cauldron that GardenStew is, so I think I'll vote for your second suggestion.
I like the second suggestion too. Flavors from all over the world that blend perfectly together to make a tasty, (mentally) healthy and (physically) nutritious GardenStew. I did respond with "I've been Stewing" once when the gal at the grocery store asked how my day was going. Got a funny look from her and then a look of "Okay, whatever" when I tried to explain I was on a gardening forum called GardenStew. People just don't understand what they are missing by not being here.
Just like to add as a legal disclaimer, if we are all in a cauldron it is at a comfortable temperature, and not boiling. Just to clarify, GardenStew does not condone boiling people.
I've used the term "stewing" too, then have to explain myself! By now my husband and coworker know exactly what I'm talking about! I wish there was some way we could all get together and meet face to face. I've made some wonderful friends stewing
