This little guy found the old grapes that I threw out into the yard.

This monster was the biggest spider I've ever seen. It must've been 2" around. It had built its web in our doorway and it completely covered the archway. I had to have my hubby knock it down or nobody would've wanted to come to our door.

    Sorry it's a little blurry.

I am still seeing Monarchs in the yard this year. I love this pic because you can see what a beautiful spotted body it has.

2 critters in one shot. My sons promptly caught this little green caterpillar and put it in their bughouse. Sadly, it only survived a couple of days.

You've still got lovely colour in your yard! :D The critters are adorable. I'm partial to spiders myself, but we take down their nets if they spin where we're walking. The little grape eater is the sweetest!

Those are some good pics. The colours are rich and the wildlife as well as the flowers are quite nice to see.
Boy, your yard is just full of interesting things.
    Cute chipmunk.

Great pictures! Here's a photo of one of my fall visitors that was warming himself on my back door yesterday. It was almost 80 degrees F so all the bugs were out for one last hurrah. We don't see walking sticks very often although I know they're around.

I have to agree with Chio that you have a lovely garden. Getting spiders that live alone is definitely better than getting those that live in colonies like spider mites. Their nests are simply horrifying.

I finally got a chipmunk to come here once in a while..I just haven't been able to catch him with the camera. I see the squirrel checking the place out too and burying some of his nuts in the yard...great pictures, thanks for sharing...Sherry

Kaseylib...I used to love finding the walking sticks on the house at our last place..they are really hard to find if they are not in the open..

What wonderful colors and the visitors just added to the foliage! I really enjoyed the squirrel eating the grapes and the butterfly picture.
