I have a darker purple, but my dear daughter erased them to take pictures of Basil the Bad:

Coppery iris! I've never seen somethink quite like it. Lovely. Grows in the swamp, huh? Must be a pretty swamp! All of them are so pretty. Basil the Bad looks like a mischievous fellow, for sure!

Gee if that grows in the swamp I will gladly go and live in the swamp. Those are gorgeous. I was never so fortunate to have Irises here, let alone have them blooming. :stew1:
Basil looks sweet. (He can help keep aligators at bay.)

Thanks all. I love when the irises are blooming. I just added some Japanese irises, given to me by a good friend. They have done very well and I plan on getting more.

EJ, you described Basil perfectly a cheeky chappy, that fits him to a t. He is my grandbeagle and is very spoiled. I will pass all of your nice comments on to him, he will be pleased.
