With the tides so low, one can really get out there and see some of the wildlife of the sea. Most don't run away so you also get a chance for some photos. Here are three anemones and a sea star.

Super shots Kildale. I used to love going rock pooling with my children when they were younger. Sadly, in those days we didn't have such good cameras as they have now so I don't have any photographs. We used to be enthralled by all the creeatures we'd come across.

Good reminder that the yearly low tides are here. Great time to check the tide tables and go look around the sound. :D

Those are great pics Kildale! Anemones are some of my favorite sea creatures, but unfortunately here on the Georgia coast we don't have many good low tide spots where you can see a good variety of animals. We do, however, have runnels in which a few animals can become trapped. I have found small anemones, hermit crabs, sand dollars, and rarely starfish, but nowhere near the variety that you find.

There is another low tide outing on Sunday, went there last year, it was great, photographed seven stars and took over 200 pictures. With museum top people, they name everything. Plus they go under the seaweeds searching for stuff. Hope the weather smartens up a bit.

    Those are fantastic pics.
The organisms living in the inter-tidal zones are amazing to watch and you managed to capture them perfectly.
It is almost as if I am snorkelling there myself. :-D

I hope that weather holds up for you too Kildale. I would love to see pictures of the creatures that y'all find.
