Well caught!! :-D Rather him than me though having that oyster for lunch. Oysters are something I just can't say I enjoy very much.

Nasty slimey things that my throat just refuses to swallow. I don't intend to try any more unless someone force feeds me them. :D :D

I'm with eileen, can't stand the things. But I'm glad the gulls like them, though. Ehm... I do like the pearls, if that counts for anything?

Well, I like oysters myself... but that shell looks like what we think of as a clam... but what is that gull going to do with it now? How will he open it, Kildale?

Yes, Db, I think you're right. We call those "heart clams" in Norwegian because of their shape. I've seen gulls fly very high up and then drop the clams to crush them on the rocks, so I guess that's this gull's plan too.

Yes you are correct, I made a little error, they are clams. Then as mentioned they take off and drop them onto rocks or whatever is available.

I eat cooked clams, but not raw oysters... I love the blue clams, steamed in white wine, in soups or just boiled with onions and other goodies. *drooling*

Well, garden stew friends, I eat clams, oysters, mussels, you name it... I guess I'm a strange gull... Droopy, you're a sophisticated gull! Clams in wine sounds divine. Thanks for the 2nd shot Kildale -- that's a great one!

Thanks for looking at the lunch time feeders, did they make you hungry, how about a few nuts with a Steller Jay,just click PEANUTS. Then click start and then click next to see the next image. It was fun taking these shots, hope you enjoy seeing them.

Fantastic, Kildale. Esp like that first shot of the Steller's Jay. But that bird look like he drinks a LOT of coffee! They are very intense looking birds. Are they friendly?
