Does anyone have pictures of a macho fern that they've planted? I saw them at Lowe's today and they are beautiful. I want to add this fern to backyard patio collection, but I don't care for hanging baskets and was wondering if anyone had one potted in a large pot.

Also, anyone have other variety of ferns that are easy to grow and low maintenance. Thanks! :stew1:

I googled the plant... and it's a beauty!
I would assume it would be okay in a big pot.
And if you're wanting a fern... just come to the house and dig one up.. there's plenty alongside the house. :-D

Thanks Cheryl, think I'll take you up on the ferns at the house to add to the fray! I know I want the macho fern too. From what I'm seeing they are easy to grow and are quite beautiful. Wish me luck!

I also have another fern that I got from Aunt Rita. It's pretty neat... it gets little white flowers and it's fragrant.

Lowe's has the Nephrolepis biserrata 'Macho' (Macho Fern) two different sizes I think....I actually bought a smaller one this morning.

Thanks Toni, I'll be headed that way in the morning. :p I plan to plant in a large pot on my back patio. It gets about 4 hours of morning sun. I'm hoping it will do well there. The plant I think is beautiful.
