Nice view, but does it still look the same now or did the flood change everything. We have friends who live in Oakville and we went out (my husband and sons) over spring break after this happened and helped clean up for a week. Then we went back out a couple months after that for a visit. the tour of the area was amazing and unbelievable. All the work that went into getting it back to even close to where they were at before the flood, I can't fathom. The water lines were up at 14'- 16' on all the barns. the destruction of all the houses, resources, crops and farm equipment was beyond my comprehension. Actually it still is.

The flood water got in basement and garage. But not like in Cedar Rapids. Helped clean relative's house there. It was 20 feet over flood stage. They had house boat sitting in front lawn.

Those of us who haven't experienced this first hand can't comprehend the devastation of the flooding. glad it wasn't that bad for you.

Looking at your first picture it's hard to tell there were ever floods in your area. So pleased that the waters didn't ruin everything beyond repair.

Plants was little muddy. But took hose and washed them off. A flat of asparagus floated two houses down. But had built gardens up each year.had extra sump-pump in case one went out.And poked holes in mud around all the bulbs-so wouldn't rot. And said many prayers.
