Oh dear CK you're weather doesn't seem to be improving much does it? :( I'm sure you're really glad that you've got all that wood cut and stored. Keep warm and safe.

Capt, I think that is the storm we are waiting for here in Southern Ontario. It should hit here later this afternoon or early evening. I've had just about enough of this "white crap"!

I just got done blowing out my 1/4 mile lane and we have about 5 inchs of new snow. A couple of drifts in spot about 2 ft deep. And it's not supposed to stop snowing until Wed. morning sometime.

14 hours of snow and no signs of it letting up. The weather reports say snow all night as well and then snow showers for Wed.

Sounds like you are getting the worst of it Capt. We are supposed to get some tongiht and through tomorrow but only 2-4 inches. But if we get the winds again that much will be a mess. Stay warm by the fire Capt.

Stll getting snow and sleet mixed with a 40 mph wind. I have another snow drift in the driveway, but I'll worry about that tomorrow. We are under a level 3 storm emergency now which means only emergency vehicles allowed on the road. My next older brother lives in the county northwest of me and they are in a blizzard warning. He said that it was snowing so hard that he couldn't see across the street. The Weather Channel is predicting highs in the mid 40's for Tues. and Wed. I hope they are right!

It sounds like it is heading our way but not as bad as you have been getting. Stay inside and warm - no use overdoing trying to keep the snow cleared.

I had an e-mail from Wannabe. She said the had 12 inches of snow with 3 more to come by midnight. Winds 30-45 mph. Heavy drifting. All rural roads are closed and plows taken off the roads until daylight. She is in for the next few days. DR's mom lives in New York.
She is in the southern part of the state on the Hudson River. They will have nine inches by morning. Dooley

I was worried about Wannabe also, I'm glad it's just snow that is the reason.

Been snowing for about 30 hours here. We got about 10 inches of snow and 1/2 inch of ice. But the ice is keeping the snow from drifting too bad. The wind has been out of the north east all of that time and running about 40 miles an hour. The county roads are closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles.

The storm is over, the wind has died down some, and the sun is out but a few linger clouds with flurries in them. Too me 2 hrs.to get the 1/4 mile lane cleaned out. But part of that time was spent repair a flat tire on the tractor, TWICE! I had sealer inside the tire, but over the years it had turned atery and stopped sealing a small thorn hole. Plugged the hole, put new sealer in it and finished up the drive. Part of the problem was that we had sleet mixed in with the snow and there was a 2" crust on the snow. Kept the snow fron drifting so bad, but it sure was hard to remove it with the snow blower! They are saying highs in the 40 for next week, sure hope they are right. I am ready for this stuff to melt!
