Male and female northern flicker

    Bothe these came to the deck today. Yesterday we had 20 species including four species of woodpeckers.

    Terrific close-ups of really attractive birds. The black 'bibs' really catch the eye don't they?

    great pics...they show up in the trees next door every now and then, also smaller woodpeckers...not sure wich ones but might be downy woodpeckers...always love to see the birds!

    Very handsome birds indeed. I love the dotted pattern. We haven't got any birds like these so I'm glad you share yours. :D

    If you ever get tired of that handsome woodpecker, tell him to bring his family and friends and migrate to Norway! :D I'll take good care of them.
