I have had the Malvaviscus drummondii (Turk's Cap) for a couple of years. It's been blooming since late spring and still going strong. I love the "burst" of red it gives the garden. It's really in all it's glory in late fall, before the first frost. But it is starting to put on blooms now. Hi Cheryl,..gosh there is a huge size difference between those two,..those big red blooms will create a great visual impact.
When it's in full bloom, it reminds me of a Christmas tree. Hopefully we don't get a killing frost before it can really show off.
