Mammatus Clouds

    The don't show up in the pictures as sharply as they did in person. Last Thursday evening, a few minutes before the storms hit us the sky was filled with this formation. It doesn't cause the storms but they do on rare occassions show up along the front edge of heavy thunderstorms.

    I love cloud formations and yours look so soft that you could almost imagine yourself cuddled up in them Toni. :stew1:

    I love those,, reminds me of balls of cotton all stuck together just floating in the sky. We get those here too, but usually towards evening.

    Nice ones! :D Clouds are fun to watch, and I like the big, fluffy-looking ones best.
