This year a bumper crop of mangoes is expected. As the weather has been most favorable for mangoes, (which means mercilessly hot and humid for us)...

So now baby mangoes are growing from all mango trees in Karachi. Just a few more weeks to go until they are ripe!

Everybody remember this post of mine?

If it was somehow possible for you guys to taste the Pakistani Sindhri mangoes - You'll never ever want to eat any other type of mango.

You obviously never ate the mangoes from my Aunt’s garden in Maun, Botswana. Or the ones on my grandparents farm in Zambia. Here in Europe they are not the same.

Maybe so... But our mangoes even killed our president once, (in 1988)...

Investigations later showed, that the plane was also carrying 2 boxes of these same type of Sindhri mangoes, (a gift to the president) - On one box it was written "Mangoes", while on the other box (which had a bomb hidden in it), it was written "Man Goes"...

It's now an inside Pakistani joke whenever anyone goes out and buys a box of mangoes. Someone from somewhere always asks - It's Mangoes right? Not Man Goes I hope!

There is a comical novel written about it also, full of slapstick sarcasm and black humor.
