Maroon Mums

    The color is really a lot darker red than this. A couple of years ago I bought a huge pot of them at the grocery store.
    They looked like this in November '06.

    They had been moved to different pots after that then this past spring I put them in the ground in front of one of the birdbaths. And they are starting to bloom now.

    Those are beautiful what a wonderful colour they are. Thank you for sharing them with us , it is lovely to see someones garden in bloom when mine is done.

    Toni those are beautiful. A friend bought two big pots of the maroon mums last night at Lowe's. She will replant hers around an old wash pot, when they are done blooming.

    Glad you all like those Mums, I think the red really stands out in the garden.

    Sjoerd, I like those pots too ;) I have several different sizes and shapes.

    Toni they are really gorgeous! The maroon and bronze colored mums are my favorite. I do like to mix the two darker colors with some yellow or a rich gold color to even it up.

    Those are nice Toni. I order Mums for work every year and the red are always my favorites :)
