I left home around noon today and traffic was backed up like I've never seen it before. Once I got to my brother's house, my nephew told me it was because of this accident and that traffic had been diverted to the highway near me. The fog was SUPER heavy this morning. http://news.yahoo.com/massive-pileup-shuts-10-texas-2-dead-195305344.html I need to check with one of my aunts and make sure that none of her children/grandchildren from Beaumont were headed this way when this happened.
Cheryl, I saw a report on the Houston Chronicle, and it was also on our 6 o'clock news. One hundred and fifty vehicles, many hurt, two dead--what a tragedy! I do hope none of your family or friends were involved, and my heart goes out to those who were traveling to be with family for Thanksgiving, and ended up in this mess.
As soon as I saw Beaumont in the headline I thought Cheryl and her relatives. I glad everyone is safe. But the many people involved need our prayers. Lives can be turned upside down in the briefest of moments. Jerry
Oh my what a tragedy!! I hope that there are no more fatalities and that all the injured recover fully. My heart goes out to everyone involved and their families.
Terrible news. We even got the news on our television and in our papers all the way over here. It is just so sad that so many folks had their plans changed in that way. Wishing all the folks involved all the best. Really sad, this.
