Checked the 10 day forcast and no freezing temps through the 16th. The 15th is our frost free date. So I wnet ahead and put those suckers in. Grow baby grow!

Hallelujah! After the absolutely awful weather you have suffered through, you deserve a bumper tomato crop.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for your tomato plants, and for the rest of your garden, too.

Good for you Capt! Our last frost date is the 24th so it will be a while for me yet.

Once upon a time I lived in Wisconsin. I remember "patiently" waiting for the last frost date to plant things. I had to wait this year clear until the middle of March. Poor me!
I'm glad you are having some better weather now. It is really nice to be able to be out and about without getting wet and soggy. Are you planting the rest of your garden now, too.

I only plant maters. Normally I have 2 plants, but this year Home Depot was having a sale. Buy 2 and get one free. So I have an heirloom Beefsteak, a Better Boy and a Roma grape tomato. I have never grown the grape type before so am looking forward to seeing how they will do.

dad says their tomatoes and peppers froze! which is kinda weird for may over here. but we've had some really low temps.
they do look bad. maybe they'll come back to life, but who knows? :(
what's funny, the potted plants I have scattered all over their yard and porch are all FINE.
