I just spent the weekend cleaning up the gardens, planting the vegetable garden, and weeding. The vegetable garden is tucked away in the back garden in the section behind the arch. I planted corn, beans, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and started up a strawberry patch. There's also a small fenced garden next to the shed on the right for lettuce and spinach.

Here's the early season "before" pic of the back yard. Not a lot in bloom yet, but everything is looking healthy this year (no late freezes).

Ajuga is the latest to bloom, I have it everywhere as groundcover under trees and on hills.

Wow, what a beautiful back yard. Do you have your morning coffee on the balcony and enjoy the view?

Thanks! I call my yard my weight control program, LOL. Some days I think I've lost my mind trying to keep up with everything, but I always seem to somehow.

Your yard looks wonderful Pianolady! It's so neat and tidy and green! I'd love to see some more a little later in the season. My Ajuga is in it's prime right now too. I just love the color of the blooms.

Your garden belongs on the cover of a glossy garden magazine Pianolady!!! It's so tranquil to look at and must be lovely to sit out in on a warm summers evening. I only wish that my own garden looked even a tiny bit like yours.

You can really tell you work hard out there Pianolady, it absolutely looks like a very wonderful place to be and sit and listen to the birds and outdoors. I'd like to see this again in a month or two. Please? Thanks for sharing.

What a nice spread, PL. There isn't anything that I can say that my co-contributers haven't said already. The pics are delightful to see.

It sounds like your veggie garden is full of things that are delicious and the selection is balanced. Well done, you!
