    There's a few things in bloom right now (zone 4b). The iris are starting to bloom, I've got two colors right now, many more to come. Here's my favorite pics from today. Iris, Blue Flax, Fern, Ajuga.

    What a nice color the blue flowers are! I like it a lot. I like your iris's too. I think mine are darker. I used the iris pictures of mine for wallpaper on my desktop. Dooley

    Oh Pianolady those are absolutely beautiful!!!! I love blue flowers. :-D At the moment all my bluebells are out and soon my blue poppies will be appearing. I did have scillias but they died back about a week ago. I really must buy some flax seeds though they are such a delicate shade of blue.

    Thank you for posting your piccies and please keep them coming!! :D

    Your photography skills are great PianoLady. Is it a hobby of yours by any chance? The Ajuga looks particularily splendid, I like the cartwheel in the background of the photo. It really adds to it :D

    Thanks everyone.

    Photography is actually my husband's hobby. I've learned a lot from him though. My digital pics come out pretty good, but his are much better (and he's got a great camera). Mine's just a point & shoot, but I still get pretty decent pics.

    What model of camera does your husband have PianoLady? It takes magnificent quality shots.

    Dh has a Nikon N80 & several lenses (but not the macro). It is not a digital. We get all the prints on a disk when they are developed.

    I'm using a Fuji Finepix 4.0mp camera. It's not fancy, but gets the job done.

    Ceanothus is a lovely plant too - evergreen, hardy, perennial, dark glossy leaves with lovely blue flowers. It can be trained as a climber too.

    Then there's grape hyacinth (Muscari);

    I took this piccie in Holland - lovely aren't they?

    Of course there's always bluebells:
