Beautiful flowers. Ginny. Your pictures reminded me that I want to get some more penstemon. They don't seem to last more than a couple of years in my garden. Spring has really arrived in your area and all your hard work is paying you back with so many pretty flowers.
Absolutely gorgeous blooms, Spring has really blasted out of the ground in your garden. I think #5 is maybe Penstemon barbatus
I had a couple of Rondo mix penstemons for a couple of years but like 20fus, mine didn't last more than those couple of years and haven't been seen since. I can't sucessfully grow Foxglove either, yours are gorgeous.
Fantastic blooms. We share our garden flower preferences you are a bit ahead on something's. Very pretty.
Thank you Sherry and Jewell. I can't take the credit for the foxglove though. They must have self seeded from the previous owner. This is my second growing season in the house and last year I noticed the leaves growing larger and larger in a shady corner on the back side of the house and was almost sure it was foxglove but being that there are so many weeds here I have never seen before I wasn't 100% sure. So I left them to grow in hopes that they were digitalis and sure enough, they were. It was a pleasant surprise. Now that I know they grow so well in that spot I will be adding more to that area. I really should just get some seed and throw it in there so they can get started for next years blooms.
Oh I'm jealous I haven't been able to find a foxglove yet. I have the perfect spot for one! I have a few babies but am anxious for the the flowers!! I think I'd like to find a red/pink one that grows REALLY tall
