Meet Mr. & Mrs. Oriole

    The orioles arrived a week ago and I am really enjoying them coming to the feeders . I like to feed them away from the pergola so they have more privacy. The house finch are usually the only other ones that come up to the jelly and nectar...maybe a woodpecker will come up for a taste of nectar once in a while.

    Just beautiful, arent' they? I just saw an oriole in my yard on the weekend. First time I ever saw one.

    What stunningly colourful birds your orieles are Sherry. So glad they came back to your garden as we get to share them with you through your photographs. :-D

    Great shots Sherry. I've only seen an Oriole in my yard once.

    Beautiful photos, such a colorful bird. I think I need to get an oriole feeder!

    Sherry these Photos are awesome. I have a pair of common Oriols that are feeding on my Hummingbird feeder, but are very hard to get close to. Would love to get some pic's. They are more yellow than the Baltimore Oriole.

    Thank you everyone...they are so beautiful and I love watching them. The color of them is truly awesome.

    What wonderful photos. You do have the knack! Wish we had the more colorful birds around here.

    I just hope they stay late into the summer. One year they stayed into August and it was so nice to see them visiting. I love their sounds too...I do have to buy a couple more jars of grape jam for them and more oranges..
