My tomatoes and peppers are growing steadily. My cantaloupe is full of blooms and growing well, but no sign of any fruit until this morning. As I was watering, I noticed a small melon about the size of a baseball. I am so excited. I just hope I can keep it alive until it is ready to pick. I feel like I just gave birth.LOL

Congrats, it is like giving birth isn't it.
Are you growing a Pecos or another type? I have never tried them, just not enough room for ground vines.

Oh you must show us some piccies of your new baby!!!! :-D Then we'll expect weekly updates of the progress it makes. ;) It really is exciting to find unexpected fruits isn't it? I have just eaten my first two black, cherry tomatoes and they were sooo sweet and delicious - much better than anything bought from a store.

I have 2 Watermelons and 2 Cantaloupes that are about the size of a tennis ball. I WILL beat the mice to them this year!
