mexican feather grass, is it supposed to lay down?

    Got a lovely new Mexican feather Grass last fall and it has been really lovely until of late, Now it is starting to lie down not standing up straight. Is this usual? any information on this would be much appreciated Thanks

    Mexican Feather Grass does lie down, or lean as it ages. One solution is to cut it to about a 3" height and let it come back in the spring. Another solution is to comb it (with your gloved fingers) and remove the dead grass in each clump.
    It self-seeds readily, so you'll have lots of Mexican Feather Grass.
