The garden is winding down, except for the green beans. Even many of the annuals are looking tired. There is still some show left though. Here's what's happening now. I've never seen the flowers of Sunset runner beans before. They're really attractive aren't they? Your garden must be a profusion of colour Jewell if your photographs are anything to go by. :-D
Your garden is still very much alive Jewell. Thanks for sharing and reminding us that there is still a lot of colour around
I love those sunset runner bean flowers too, I would grow them just for the flowers, love all the pink shades.
Ooooh, I just LOVE those Anemones! I really MUST get some of those! (But I think you need to tell them its not fall yet )
Netty, the anenomes were given to me by a neighbor years ago. I have divided them over the years and appreciate their flowers this time of year. They have lots of blooms, but I need to tie them up to be able to enjoy them. Chocolate and Eileen, the sunset runners are as prolific with their flowers as they are with their beans. When we get tired of fresh beans they make for great dried beans. They are like the scarlet and painted lady runners in taste and texture. Heirloom variety from Territorial Seeds. Frank and Cherylad, the phlox had such a profusion of color this year, now that they have been mostly deadheaded the garden seems so much greener. It is nice to see some of the spring flowers starting to bloom again with the cooler evenings. Reminds me I have some fall bulbs arriving soon.
