Gizmo sent me some yellow mimosa seeds. I planted twelve because a lot of times things just don't come up. Yesterday when I was watering I got a surprise. There were four coming up. This morning, I took a picture or two or three. The biggest is only about half an inch but it already has the little divided leaves. It's so cute.

This last picture is the pink mimosa that my neighbor Frank gave me last fall. I thought it died because his had leaves about six weeks before this one decided to grow. The top of the stem died so I cut it off and then it started to get leaves.

There is a pink Mimosa tree in our neighbors yard that hangs over ours. I like it because the Swallowtail butterflies find it irresistable. But I find the seedlings coming up all over the place, usually where I don't want them. The ones I transplanted into pots a couple of years ago didn't survive the drought last year so I need to start over again when I find more in the flowerbeds. I want a couple of them out front.
