A co-worker brought a gift because she screwed something up. Here it is... cute, cute, cute!
Hubby says it's an Antique Rose. Not sure he's right.
    Any ideas?

What a thoughtful workmate. Bet you hope she messes up again!! :D I know there are pink antique roses out there so it's more than possible that you can get miniature ones of them too. It's a real beauty no matter what type it is. :-D

I told her that she really knew how to get on my good side and that I looked forward to her next screw-up!

It is a cutie and such a perfect shape bloom.

Chances are she bought it at a local garden center or florist, in which case it would be a miniature rose. Antique roses are not that readily available in nurseries...at least not around here. Most have to be ordered from Antique Rose nurseries.

My guess is that she got it at the grocery store.

So I'd be safe in assuming that it is "Miniature Rose"?

I would think so, you could ask her if it came with any special growing instructions and maybe she will give you a hint as to where it came from. I have yet to get a plant at the grocery store that came with a care tag, some don't even have name tags.

But I would think that if it was an antique rose she would have given you some sort of care or name tag or mentioned it when she gave it to you so you would know it might take some special care that a modern rose might not.

If I gave someone an antique rose as an apology I would want them to know it was an antique, might get me forgiven quicker. ;)

It came with a care tag. But didn't have the variety name. So... they did something half right? Any clue as to how big this will grow?

The micro-mini gets only about 12" but there are some mini's that grow to 4' tall.
I would guess that when it fills up that trellis in the pot and starts flopping around it would be time for a larger pot and trellis.
