I can see why you liked her, she would of been one I would want...I have a rescue Cairn terrier and I hand fed him and it helped him a lot...I thought I would have to get rid of him but the hand feeding worked wonders. With trust and just getting used to things...you do have to take the time to hand feed all the time at first for it to work.
Daisymae will now have a wonderful new life to look forward to. So pleased to hear that Miss Taffy gets along so well with her and vice versa. :-D
