I have a dear girlfriend who came over from Germany about 20 years ago. I'm learning all sorts of new things from her. The other day (actually about a month ago), she gave me what she called a "Mona Lavender" plant. It is growing like crazy and I've trimmed it back several times already so it doesn't get tall and lanky. It gets lovely little purple flowers all over it at different times of the year.
I had never heard of this plant, but I was wondering if any of you knew anything about it.
    Thanks much,
    abby

I just found Mona Lavender on-line .... they are apparently a relative of the Swedish Ivy and some actually call it that. I don't because the leaves are not nearly that big. They are lovely little purplish blue flowers and, yes, you can start them from a clipped stem and root it and plant.
I love this little plant and my mother always said, "if a plant is given with a good heart, it will do well."

I've grown 'Mona Lavender' for years now, Abby. It's one of my favourite plants for my courtyard garden. I've always grown it in pots and it's almost a year-round bloomer here.
