I have had a viral problem going on here but I did manage to take a walk outside last weekend and see this beauty on my butterfly bush..I hope these aren't the last of the Monarchs with our cold weather setting in.

The Monarch migration started at the end of August this year. There are already several reported sightings in west Texas this month and that means they took a more westerly route so we in the eastern half of Texas won't see as many :(
I did see one in early Sept but that has been it so far.

I really like the orange and purple colours together.

Eileen...intant messaged (AIM) with a friend from Texas yesterday and she said her DH has the same thing. So I guess it is going on all over. I tried to venture out and get some milk and bread but had to cut my venture short because I couldn't quit coughing....I think it must of been something in the air or Walmart (laundry aisle) because that is the only time I have coughed that hard and long.

We got our heavy frost last night and it is called for for the next 2 nights so I guess I will have to wait and see them next summer again. I was just so happy to see the beauty last weekend.

They are such lovely creatures and I'm so glad you got to see them. :D Especially since that meant I got to see them too. Stay warm, take care and heal quickly.
