My moon flower umbrella was so pretty last night. Sorry it's so grainy. Hope you can see it.

That is truly lovely! What a great idea, and what a great use of a beautiful plant.

I love it!! It's really beginning to look just like a Moon Flower covered umbrella. :-D

I salvaged my brother's old umbrella with hopes of doing something similar to yours. First have to figure out where to place it and then settle on a type of vine for it.

Cheryl, The moon flowers have done very well. They just take to long to bloom. Morning glories not so well. Think it's been to hot for them. Next year going to try pole beans or sugar snaps and gourds. And if I can come up with one more umbrella I would like to put a passion flower vine on it. It's fun and unique. I have mine in large pots. Then I tie lines to each rib and tie other end to pole barn nails and stick in soil. Nails don't rust so you can use them forever. If you use plastic line it will last a long time. And you can leave all right where it is for next year. The only problem I've had was I backed over one with pickup and had to start over. :rosy:
